The Pacific Trailer

"The Pacific" is the long-awaited follow-up to the WWII epic "Band of Brothers", which is one of the best minis ever created. (The best? Yeah, I dare to say so..) It is set to debut in March 2010.

I expected the trailer to make me super-excited, but insted it makes me a bit worried.. Cuz it's a pretty damn bad trailer, is it not?

Worry nr 1: The music and speaches. Ugh. For the love of moderation, please don't go "Saving Private Ryan"-crazy for the actual series! (I really like "Saving Private Ryan" but can hardly stand whats happening after the first part anymore because the score is so fucking exaggerated and tries to force you to feel shit! Terrible!) And if there's gonna be lots of speaches, please let them be fucking smart..

Worry nr 2: I don't expect "The Pacific" to be another B.O.B. of course, but in the trailer for "The Pacific" there is a lot of crap with some chick and family. We've seen that before. I don't really care about that shit.. I mean, we don't need to see the characters peeps to know what they are fighting for, you know?

One of the great things with "Band Of Brothers" is the fact that it feels like you're stuck in the middle of the war with this bunch of people. You don't know much about their lifes before the war, or who they left behind. Might get bits and pieces about them, but whoever they were before doesn't really matter. Becuase they're stuck in the same fucking hellhole as everyone else and the only thing that matters is how the different people work then and there. The brotherhood. Their personalities and the fact that you're getting to know them as the times goes is the thing. In the last episode I'm crushed that my time with them is over. That is what I love the most about B.O.B... Damn, I need to watch it again pretty soon..
